Abstract: The paper introduces the background and feasibility of transforming the international standard ISO 23908:2011 Sharps injury protection-Requirements and test methods-Sharps protection features for single-use hypodermic needles, introduces catheters and needles used for blood sampling and gives a rough interpretation of the main content. Based on these analyses, the paper provides some suggestions for this product on standardization.
