Abstract:
Objective To devise an orthodontic anchorage nail which can tap in the target tooth by itself with bio-mechanical function.
Methods All kinds of functions and structures of the supporting pin were designed and tested to meet its multiple traction and ligation.
Results The self-tapping anchorage nail can be directly implanted in the tooth bed bones without using minimally invasive surgery.
Conclusion The anchorage nail has good biological compatibility and anchorage stability. It can pull after tapping retention, which shortens effectively the orthodontic term.
