Abstract:
Biological dressings are key carriers for aesthetic wound repair. According to wound characteristics and application requirements, this review introduces the suitable sterilization methods, respective advantages and disadvantages, and clinical application progress of two major types of biological dressings: polysaccharide-based and protein-based. It further analyzes the key obstacles and future trends for biological aesthetic wound dressings, including their specific regulatory requirements and sterilization optimization for their sterile composite variants, to provide references for product development and commercial translation in this field.
