Abstract: Hydrogel is a polymer network system that is soft, non-toxic and similar to natural soft tissues. It plays an increasingly important role in the field of medicine, especially in stomatology. Based on the composition and characteristics of hydrogels, this paper reviews the research on their application in pulp regeneration, periodontitis treatment, bone regeneration, soft tissue repair and synergistic anti-cancer therapy. Many research results show that hydrogels have the characteristics of good biocompatibility, easy performance regulation, and relatively simple artificial manufacturing or compound preparation, and thus have a good development prospect in the application of stomatology.
