      Analysis of the Influence of Different Scanning Conditions of Medical Electron Accelerator CBCT on Image Quality

        目的 探讨医用电子加速器CBCT不同扫描条件对图像质量的影响,为CBCT图像引导在不同部位扫描条件的选择提供参考。
        方法 在不同部位标准扫描条件的基础上,通过设置不同扫描参数,使用CBCT参数对Catphan 503模体进行扫描并分析空间分辨率、噪声、均匀度、空间几何精度及低对比度分辨率对CBCT图像质量的影响。
        结果 对于头部、胸部、腹部,随着扫描参数的增加,噪声值降低了47.4%、26.1%、51.3%,均匀性值降低30.2%、26.6%、47.9%,低对比度分辨率值降低了13.3%、20.5%、12.0%,不同的扫描条件对空间几何精度、空间分辨率影响不明显。
        结论 不同扫描参数对医用电子加速器CBCT图像质量有一定影响,可根据不同患者选择较低的扫描参数,以减少患者额外辐射剂量,为CBCT图像引导在放射治疗的安全应用提供参考。

         

        Abstract:
        Objective To investigate the influence of different scanning conditions on the image quality of medical electron accelerator CBCT and provide reference for the selection of scanning conditions in different parts. Methods On the basis of the standard scanning conditions of different parts, different scanning parameters were set and the Catphan 503 phantom was scanned using CBCT parameters to analyze the influence of spatial resolution, noise, uniformity, spatial geometric accuracy and low-contrast resolution on the image quality of CBCT.
        Results For the head, chest and abdomen, the noise value decreased by 47.4%, 26.1% and 51.3%, respectively, with the increase of scanning parameters, and the uniformity value decreased by 30.2%, 26.6% and 47.9%, respectively. The low-contrast resolution value decreased by 13.3%, 20.5% and 12.0%, The influence of different scanning conditions on spatial geometric accuracy and spatial resolution is not significant.
        Conclusion Different scanning parameters have certain influence on the image quality of medical electron accelerator CBCT. Patients can be selected to have lower scanning parameters to reduce the additional radiation dose to patients, providing reference for the safe application of CBCT image guidance in radiotherapy.
